Say What You Want to Say
I cannot begin to tell you how excited I feel when someone speaks their truth.
For me, as a listener, the experience involves so much clarity, peace and quiet.
When someone is really speaking the truth, there is a quality and energy to the sounds they are making as they speak that is remarkably different. It is, to put it plainly, a stand-out.
It's like all the noise of life suddenly goes quiet and those words, expressed with such honesty for that person, are the only sound to be heard.
At first, the speaker may not hear it for themselves. When they are new to the sound of their truth, they mistake it as being the same as all the other words they speak.
After a while, they learn that there is a subtle but palpable difference between words, and truth. They learn to connect with the words AND the feeling at the same time.
When you are speaking, LISTEN to what you feel. LISTEN for the difference between words you say, and words you feel and connect with at a deeper level, from a deeper place.
Then learn to stop saying words you don't ALSO feel.
Save your talking for the ones you FEEL too. Say what you WANT to say.
Be Brave.
